LAFI seeks dependable, energetic, team players in the following areas:
LAFI seeks dependable, accountable, energetic, team players from Baby Boomers through Millennials to form an interdependent, intergenerational team to learn from each other while simultaneously supporting the LAFI mission. Opportunities for service exist , among others, in the following areas: Contract Management, Fundraising, Grant writing, Insurance, Finance/Accounting, Attorney (pro bono) or Paralegal, Public Relations/Marketing and social media (see application).
Board Members are volunteers and there is no residency requirement. Everyone is busy but LAFI seeks those volunteers who will commit and be accountable to serve an average of four (4) hours a month in performing LAFI’s work if selected to be a Director. If you want to give back, we welcome your skills matched to our LAFI opportunities for service. After election and prior to serving, Board Members are required to obtain a background check (reimbursable), a Child Protective Service clearance (online), and provide documentation of COVID vaccinations and age-related boosters. Meetings are usually the third Monday @ 7:00pm monthly, meeting options are Zoom, conference call or in person. Electronic voting is permitted. Work can be done in the office or at the place of the Member’s choosing, as appropriate.
